Waiver Form
All persons using the sauna, do so at their own risk.
If you have any reservations with using the sauna, or have underlying health problems or medical conditions or taking prescription drugs, please ensure you have consulted your GP before booking.
You must not use the sauna if you:
Suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder
Suffer from epilepsy or diabetes:
Are pregnant:
Are prone to dizziness or fainting.
Alcohol, drug use and nudity are prohibited in the sauna. Ocean Soul Sauna staff reserve the right to refuse admission to intoxicated people and for any other reason where we consider it to be a health and safety at risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
Any jewellery and watches, glasses and contact lenses should be removed before entering the sauna.
Sauna Etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes:
Removing sea shoes/sandals/flipflops prior to entering the sauna.
Washing feet before entering the sauna.
Entering and exiting the sauna in a safe manner.
Sit on a towel at all times.
Staying in the sauna no longer than 20 min at a time. We recommend 5-15mins maximum at a time.
· Cooling down. Please ensure you cool the body back down properly spending equal or more time outside.
· Not touching any part of the stove / stove cage or rocks.
· Following our instructions on how to ladle water onto hot rocks safely.
· Only pouring the provided sauna water, on hot rocks. No other liquids.
FAMILIES with Children (6 - 16yrs)
· We regret children below 6 years old are not permitted in the sauna.
· Children under 16 are not permitted to use the sauna during shared/public sessions.
· Children under 16 are not permitted to use the plunge bath / ice bath or cold buckets.
· Children aged 6-16 may use the sauna during private sessions only if accompanied by a parent or guardian on a one-to-one basis. The parent or guardian must fully accept responsibility for the child's safety and behavior. A separate waiver must be completed, which includes the relationship between the adult and the child.
· Children must not be left alone at any time during the sauna session. Inside or outside. If either party needs to cool down outside, both adult and child must remain together.
Entering the Sea, Cold Water Plunge Bath
All persons using the sea, using cold water buckets or bath as a 'cold plunge' do so at their own risk.
Children under 16 are strictly not permitted to use the plunge bath, ice bath, or cold water buckets.
If entering the sea, it is your own responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures and varying sea conditions.
If voluntarily exposing yourself to cold water in a plunge bath or cold water bucket, you acknowledge and understand the potential risks and dangers involved which include but are not limited to hypothermia, shock, or injury. Participating in any cold water exposure is undertaken at your own risk and you must take full responsibility for your own health and safety at all times.
Groups
If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility for the following:
- to make all users aware of the terms and conditions outlined and to practise safe sauna use
- to ensure the group is aware, and that each individual must have agreed to this waiver form and you have provided them with information about using the sauna safely before your booking date.
Use of Sauna and Ice Bath /Plunge Bath / Cold Water Buckets —
Families with Children Under 16 Years
Children aged 16 years and under are permitted to use the sauna only when accompanied and supervised by a parent, guardian, or adult family member at all times during the hire and use of the sauna.
Please note: Children under the age of 16 are strictly not permitted to use the ice bath /plunge bath / cold water buckets.
A waiver must be completed, clearly stating the relationship between the supervising adult and the minor, and must be signed accordingly on arrival.
